WHO SHOULD APPLY FOR A CSCS CARD?

If you want to work as a labourer or need access to construction sites in the UK you will require a CSCS Card. Whether you are applying for the first time or renewing your card our courses will provide all of the qualifications that you need.

Pass an NPORS S001 Site Safety Awareness Course

This NPORS S001 Site Safety Awareness course aims to inform the delegate on why health & safety is important and is designed to demonstrate how everyone can contribute to a safer workplace. It focuses on raising awareness towards best practice, as opposed to focusing on legislation. People from any sector at any level should attend this course If you are looking to get your green CSCS Labourers card.

Pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Operatives Test

The HS&E Operatives Test is a 50 minute, 50 question multiple choice test with a pass mark of 45/50. It would be taken in our centre at Five Sisters Business Park. For novices it is advisable to download and study the CITB: Op/Spec APP, downloadable from App store or Play store. Photographic ID will be required on the day of the test.

Apply for the CSCS Green Card

Once you have passed Step 1 and Step 2 you are now ready to apply for your Green CSCS Labourers Card. This can be a challenging process in itself, however our admin team can guide you through the process or make the application for you if required.

How Long Do CSCS Green Cards Last?

CSCS Green Cards are valid for 5 years and can only be be renewed 6 months before and after their expiry date.

Are CSCS Green Cards Legally Required?

Although CSCS Cards are not a legal requirement the majority of house builders, recruitment agencies and large contractors require their Labourer to hold a valid CSCS Green Labourers card to certify their training and qualifications.

Why Are CSCS Green Cards Required?

CSCS Cards prove that card holders have completed the appropriate training and qualification required to work on construction sites. Contractors and employers are also able to control site access quickly and efficiently using card readers, tablets or mobiles avoiding the need to manually record site access. Cards also play an important part in improving standards and safety on UK construction sites through raising awareness of individuals responsibilities for health and safety along with best working practices.
